Most plant-based foods contain protein, but there are no apparent health advantages to consuming a high protein diet. Swallow this - diets that are high in protein may even increase the risk of some diseases. Quality is more important than quantity. Excess protein is usually stored as FAT, as there is only so much protein the body can use.
