What a time it has been. First and foremost, Pixie Retreat is here for you. We built this business to be a reliable and consistent source of healthful organic plant-based foods. When we began this journey many years ago, there wasn't much out there offering the nourishment that we were seeking. Frankly, there still isn't a lot that doesn't compromise on the integrity of ingredients (organic, vegan, no soy, no gluten, no refined sugar). We pride ourselves on the quality of our products and the care and concern that goes into making each element of our food. Pixie Retreat is a labor of love.
In moving with that intention, we knew that rather than close our doors, we need to remain open as long as we can to provide that source of nourishment. The truth is, we are used to the struggles of running this type of niche business. It is not a financial boon for us, and never has been. It is something of deep meaning and purpose for the owners to help change the current scope of the food scene and share our inspiration with others who are seeking healthful satisfaction and quality ingredients. We have been working so hard to be that business you can count on for 7 days a week for the last twelve years. In light of this, we suffer with you and your losses. We feel the same. We are staying focused and vigilant about our cleanliness in the locations.
To all of our service and hospitality industry friends who have recently lost their jobs—whether you’re a restaurant worker, yoga instructor, acupuncturist, massage therapist, musician, artist, or anyone else who has suddenly lost their employment—we want to help you with a small gesture of kindness in sharing something of ours with you. To start, we will offer each of you a free kale salad and something sweet everyday from 8am-9am and 3pm-4pm at our SE location.
To stay in compliance with the social distancing we are being asked to adhere to, we will only allow two people in the shop at a time. And if there happens to be a line outside, we respectfully ask that you maintain a distance of 6 feet between one another.
We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for allowing us the great honor of still being in business after 12 years. It's unbelievable. We hope to weather the storm together, and still be here for you on the either side of this. We love you all, and care about your well being. We are here to serve.
